　　When a lost traveler on Halloween night comes across an isolated rural gas station, she thinks she's found her way home. Unbeknownst to her, the eerie gas station is the residence of a family of degenerate, devilish creatures.

　　居住在纽约的女诗人罗丝•伊利亚特（Irene Miracle 饰），某日在古书店买到一本由拉丁文写就的建筑类书籍。书中称这个世界上曾存在三个邪恶之母，它们四处散播恐怖与痛苦，最后分别为建筑师镇在罗马、纽约以及德国的弗莱堡的三个建筑中。罗丝怀疑她所居住的公寓便是书中提及的一处，她一面写信向远在罗马的弟弟马克（Leigh McCloskey 饰），随后自己则只身走入地下室一探究竟。
　　收到信的马克与姐姐通话，然而电话却突然中断。他连忙赶至纽约，得知姐姐业已失踪。不得已，马克开始四处打探关于这本古书背后的秘密……

　　Ellie, a recovering drug addict, has just moved to a new city with her two teenage children. She has struggled to stay sober in the past and is determined to make it work this time, finding a stable job and regularly attending her meetings. Unfortunately, new friends, a new job, and the chance of a new life, can't keep Ellie from slipping once again. Her life changes when she meets Christopher - a different kind of addict - which forces her daughter and son to accept a new version of Ellie.

　　Condemned to see only when the night falls, the abandoned blind sisters with the untraceable past, Louise and Henriette, share a horrible secret. Their days are black, their nights are blue, and their insatiable thirst for warm, bright-red blood compels the orphaned predators to roam the ill-lit streets of Paris in search of unsuspecting victims to sustain their unholy existence on Earth. However, danger lurks everywhere, and the city's sad, memory-laden cemeteries can only provide temporary refuge. Indeed, blood begets blood. Is there an end to the blood-stained sisters' tyranny?

　　When Fuchs starts his new job as a teacher in a prison school, replacing the old and unconventional teacher Berger against her will, he is forced to confront his biggest fear, triggered by the mysterious, withdrawn inmate Samira.

　　I am awestruck by this movie. Fast zombies that can use weapons, even guns, and are capable of intelligent thought. They plot a strategic offensive to take over the city, hitting the airport, then the TV stations and the power plant. If you love horror, gory, and violent movies and don't mind a little bad acting, then you will LOVE this movie. It is exciting and even a bit suspenseful. It starts out fast and hard and maintains a steady pace of mayhem and carnage.
　　I can't believe more people haven't seen this film. I have yet to meet a horror movie buff that has seen this film before. It is a true gemstone of European horror and exploitation, definitely up to par with the classics of the genre such as Zombi 2, Demons, House by the Cemetery, etc. And it's even readily available uncut (92 minutes) on DVD from Anchor Bay (under the title "Nightmare City") and on VHS under the title "City of the Walking Dead." Super gory and violent, a must for fans of Italian grind house flicks.
